About Ed Van Istendal

Ed Van Istendal was graduated from Penn State University with a B. S. in General Agriculture, and a minor in Entomology. He has worked with local, regional, and nationwide pest control companies. He has experience as a pest control technician, termite control technician, fumigator, sales representative, weed control technician, tree/shrub analyst, sales manager, technical director, branch manager and operations manager. He has co-owned and operated a pest control company in southeastern PA, has been the Technical Director of 2 regional distributors, as well as Technical Director and sales generator for two nationwide pest control industry insurers. He has also represented nationwide pesticide manufacturers and distributors. He is currently the Mid-Atlantic Territory Manager for Ensystex, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of pest control and lawn & ornamental materials and supplies.

Ed has authored numerous articles for pest control and lawn & ornamental industry publications, and has conducted education presentations at conferences, seminars, trade shows and in-house training in over 40 states. He has served on a variety of National Pest Management Association Committees, is a certified pesticide applicator in PA [005003] & VA, a certified pesticide dealer in PA, DE, VA, MD & NJ, a NY State Workplace Safety & Loss Prevention Consultant, a TX Loss Control Representative, is Past President of the PA Pest Management Association, and is a past President of Pi Chi Omega, the international honor fraternity of the structural pest management industry.
