VPMA Master Technician Series: Rodents

Get one step closer to becoming a VPMA Master Technician by attending the Rodents Workshop, led by experts Dr. Dini Miller and Dr. Morgan Wilson. This one-day, hands-on training combines classroom instruction with field experience, covering rodent identification, biology, and control strategies. Learn about rodenticide modes of action, proper use, trapping, baiting, and exclusion techniques. A guided tour of a rodent infestation offers real-world insight into control challenges. Participants will earn credit toward the Master Technician designation and recertification credits (applied for) in categories 7A and 60 in VA, DC, MD, NC, and WV. The timing of this workshop, daytime or evening, will be determined once our rodent infestation site has been secured.

VPMA Master Technician Series: Pest Flies

Join the Pest Flies Workshop, led by experts Dr. Dini Miller and Dr. Jason Myers, for a deep dive into fly identification, biology, and behavior. This one-day training blends classroom learning with hands-on demonstrations to explore effective control strategies for small flies and filth flies. Participants will also receive regulatory updates from VDACS and test their knowledge with a fun Kahoot! review session. This workshop counts toward the VPMA Master Technician designation and recertification credits (applied for) in categories 7A and 60 in VA, DC, MD, NC, and WV.

VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Workshop

The WDI Inspector Certification Course equips pest professionals to perform consistent, reliable inspections. It covers pest ID, biology, conducive conditions, construction basics, inspection techniques, and detailed guidance on completing the NPMA-33. The course encourages discussion on real-world challenges and includes self-study components. Approved for recertification in 7B and 60 in VA, DC, MD, NC, and WV. *** Maryland PMPs can use this course to earn MSPCA WDI-O voluntary credentials. MSPCA members receive the VPMA member rate and will be emailed a discount code.

VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Recertification Workshop

All VPMA Certified WDI Inspectors must recertify every two years. To maintain your VPMA WDI Inspector certification, you must complete a recertification course before June 30 of your expiration year. This course extends your certification for another two years—no exam required if your certification is still active. You’ll be done by 3:15 PM. If your certification has expired, don’t worry—you can still attend and take the exam to renew your credentials. You can also earn recertification credits in 7B and 60 in VA, DC, MD, NC, and WV.
