The Maryland State Pest Control Association (MSPCA) hosted its Annual Board & Dinner Meeting on November 21, 2024, at the Yellow Fin Steak & Fish House. This signature event brought together MSPCA Board members, association members, and guests for an evening focused on fostering connections and camaraderie within the pest control industry.
The evening featured a short but impactful business meeting led by outgoing President Samantha Forrest, ACE. Highlights included financial updates, election of new board members, and a preview of key upcoming events such as the Interstate Pest Management Conference and Legislative Day. Notably, Lisa DiDomenico and Justin Nichols were welcomed as new board members, emphasizing the association’s commitment to growth and fresh perspectives.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Samantha Forrest for her exceptional two-term presidency. She was praised for her steadfast leadership during the transition to the new executive management team, Coron Association Management Services (CAMS). Samantha’s dedication and determination were instrumental in guiding MSPCA through this critical period and positioning the organization for long-term success.
Following this, CAMS was honored with an award for their swift and strategic support during MSPCA's management transition. Leveraging their 30 years of expertise in the pest management industry, CAMS ensured a seamless operational shift, strengthening MSPCA’s foundation and preparing it for future achievements. The award celebrated their indispensable role in securing the association’s operational stability and growth.
This annual year-end event provided MSPCA with the opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the year, celebrate the contributions of its members and leadership, and set its sights on future goals. The event’s atmosphere of camaraderie and collaboration underscored the shared mission of advancing the pest management industry.
MSPCA invites all members to attend next year’s Annual Board & Dinner Meeting and participate in other key initiatives, including credentialling education programs, Business Building Blocks & Connections (BBB&C), the Interstate Pest Management Conference, and Legislative Day. By engaging in these events, members can foster professional growth, build valuable connections, and play an active role in shaping the future of the industry. Together, we can achieve even greater success in the years to come.
