The Interstate Pest Management Conference (IPMC) is more than just a professional gathering—it’s a longstanding community dedicated to advancing excellence in pest management. For over 40 years, IPMC has served as a premier platform for education, innovation, and collaboration within the industry.

Each year, the conference brings together professionals from across Maryland and the Eastern Seaboard to gain critical recertification credits in a wide range of pest control categories. Attendees benefit from expert-led educational sessions that explore the latest science, technologies, and application methods for managing urban pest populations. The event is carefully curated to promote both practical knowledge and responsible practices that protect applicators, clients, and the environment alike.

Beyond the classroom, the IPMC exhibit hall features more than 30 vendors, offering attendees the chance to engage with leading industry partners, explore new products and services, and discover tools that enhance their businesses. These interactions are invaluable for professionals seeking to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving field.

Participation in the IPMC has grown steadily year over year. After reaching a record 679 attendees in 2024, the conference exceeded expectations in 2025 with 736 participants. This continued growth speaks not only to the relevance and quality of the event but also to the value attendees place on professional development and peer networking.

The IPMC offers a comprehensive educational experience through its two primary tracks: the Pest Control track and the Turf & Ornamental (T&O) track. The Pest Control sessions are available on both days of the conference, allowing attendees flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to earn recertification credits in various categories. These sessions cover a broad spectrum of topics, including termite treatment challenges, German cockroach management, mosquito control, and structural fumigation updates, among others.

On the second day, the conference introduces the T&O track, specifically designed for professionals seeking credits in categories 3A, 3C, and 6. This track addresses specialized topics such as turfgrass insect management and the use of predictive calendars for pest control.
